Tealing Youth Club (1950-1963)
The club was formed in the early fifties and it had junior, intermediate and senior sections. For recreation, various games, drama, competitions, quizzes, dancing and outings took place. Halloween and Christmas were always celebrated with parties and the Youth Club was the first in the village to hold a Christmas party for the senior citizens. The annual bus drives for parents and senior members were always a good day out. Nan Wilkie recalls "senior members and leaders attended summer educational camps at various locations, including the lovely Dalguise House on the banks of the Tay in Perthshire". Other youth clubs met in Tealing Hall in later years. The leader in 1984 was Jennifer Ramsay who lived at North Powrie. At that point, the club was run under the supervision of Dundee District Council.
